Here some pics of our build. Today was day 1 and there is plenty of work left. But the main part is mostly done. Starting off is some experiment ideas, making sure we have enough room.

    Pictures cooming soon..

So im leaning on the idea of going carpet over the board got a tip where i can find it free. Any input guys. Want to dodge around where the boards are lifting. And i cant find a plain grey linoleum roll. At least not at the right price. Any ideas are appreciated.

Im looking for tighter topography. An office type. But will test it before gluing it down. over pass will be left wood though. probably paint it to match. Let u know when i get a hold of some and u can test it. Was wanting to set up a charging station. Since carpet will help us burn through our batteries faster.

I dont think we'll have a problem with the carpet. The size we have to work with is about the size of that s section. Witch will be fine. Especially if we have an over pass crossing over.

So i got the boards flush. I tried some vinyl. Like u would use in the kitchen. But it seemed to stick more more as the tires got hotter. Though now i figured how to keep the boards flush,  i dont think we'll need to lay anything down over it. But cover the boards with a neutral, road color stain. Protect it from weather. I've already used a product on a cabana i built three years ago. The wood is still in new condition. Tomorrow morning will put in some labor time and turf. Keep u guys posted with pics.

here's the jist of it. gonna leave wood for max slippage. just need some appropriate color stain. and we can pretty much start building an overpass, or any other obstacles. maybe some one can build us a few scale oil barrels. this track is smooth any is easy sliding, thinks again for the help joe..

Have had help from joe and jesse. Alot more detail to come. We tested it out and drifted really well. Fun drifting around the whole tree. Joe and i were coming up with ideas to make a spiral road up the tree and out to an over pass.

If you make something too high you will risk damaging the cars from a fall.  Drift cars, and their bodies should (theoretically) last long because of the relatively low impact compared to other RC car  types.  It would be a bummer to wreck a nicely detailed car from a fall.
