I like the epoxy paint idea. And would like to keep it clear. Hopefully give a wet look to the surface. Im not a 100% sure its fully cured. But its been almost 3 days and sun is beating on it most of the day. We did mess with camber a bit. And it helped a little. Where would be the best place to buy paint like that?  Want it slippery as ice. Or close to it. Thanx for your help highland.

Bad news :( I called my old boss to find out what the stuff we used was and it is crazy expensive. Like around $3 per sq ft expensive. I guess when you are working on a multi million dollar house cost isn't a factor as we would use thousands of sq ft of it sometimes on a job. Also the epoxy would need a UV coat to be outside adding another couple bucks per ft. Sorry to get your hopes up. How does your track work in the early morning and evening? Is traction only a problem in the sun

EDIT: I looked around on the web a little and these guys had some good stuff that might help

That would work real good also probably but cost even more than the epoxy floor idea (which rhino does epoxy also). After material cost and hiring the installer (as you cant do it yourself) You would have a sweet floor but pretty spendy.

I did mention earlier that Rhino liner could be spendy, but thought I remembered a friend who has a truck tell me that there are other brands than Rhino and they might be less expensive.  Isn't there a product like that in a can that you can spread on, or are they all shot with a sprayer?

For sure. There are tons of DIY liners out there now in both spray and roll. Most Ive seen or used have had more of a rubberized texture to it. The real Rhino brand liners seem more like an enamel almost and super hard.

Morning time is fine until the the friction of the tires heat up. The main problem is that the paint is lifting on to the tires. Creating grip tire. This happens after a few laps, then after that the car just grips up and does 180s. The original paint in the deck was slick enough. But to bumpy (from 2×4s) i want same kinda a paint that will leave a hard slick surface. I dont want to spend to much more money, as i will have to tear it down when i move. Gonna go to sherwin Williams see what they can help me with. After i check gps's link.  ;)

They are more of a wall covering specialist. Might try a flooring store.

not all of them are spray ons! I know u can get like a 2 or 5 gallon thing of it at walmart for like 40 bucks and u use just a regular paint roller to put it on!

That would be ideal. Would like to find something clear or close to the grey we have. Dont really want black, as the yard is hit most of the time in sunlight. Winter wouldnt matter. But for now i want to keep a color that is cool. And wont absorb the heat (that bad).......

Also ive been of it for a few days and it seems to be fully cured. But still want to wait till monday to do another trail run before buying anything else. I think now that it is harder it will be better and not necessary to add more complications. Early on when we were having problems. It felt almost as if were were sanding paint that wasnt dry underneath. Also it went on more like paint than stain. Because the boards we used do not absorb very well. Which left almost like a coat. Come monday we'll find out forsure.

I think your right to give it some time and let it cure more. When its real hot out maybe spray it with water to drop the surface temp. Of course you would have to remove the water before running it but it wouldn't be all tacky from the heat after.

    EDIT:

Wait until you see the scale k rail I'm making . Don't worry there will be enough to share 8)

So the track is complete. Slick as hell. Time do add detail, and put in a bridge later. Videos coming soon.

Sweet.  I thought I saw you at Allen Dale the other day but it was some school event or something.

I'm looking forward to seeing the latest on your track build.
