Here is the video I watched that got me inspired about six months ago.  Mine will actually have a lot more power, but I don't think it all can be used.  Just the sound in this video will get you excited.  :)

I like the splash, splash, splash, splash, splash as it skips across the water.  :D

I never thought about an air boat, that is cool.... I wonder how well an air car/semi amphibious boat thing would do on the beach at the dunes? Probably be pretty fast eventually. Hmmmm, still have an extra weed eater engine laying around...........

That guy needs a bigger hull and a bigger pond. WAY too much RPM for that little thing - not that that's a bad thing ;) Very cool 8)

I've never done a full-speed run so my answer is just a guess at 20-25mph ??? Remember these hulls are only 17" long and very light weight. And the pump nozzle is only 1/2"! But these little buggers go through the rapids and over the rocks like nothing else ;D TONS of fun on the river and last about 12-15 minutes on a 3s 1800mah battery. Plenty of room for a bigger battery, just adds more weight than I like for being able to bounce off the rocks ;) Overall these are the best in tight spaces (litterally will go anywhere), but not an all-out speedster. Don't think you'll find any more fun for under $100!!!! Get one, go with the parts listed, and you won't be dissapointed :D

In addition to the electronics listed previously, you'll need some parts for the water-cooled ESC and motor.
Silicone tubing - Dubro #221 (standard fuel tubing - small, 2ft.)
    Through-Hull water fittings - Dubro #540 (2 needed)
Small length of 1/8" brass tubing for the water pickup in the pump housing

I've got mine taken apart again to change the radio gear out. I'll try to get some pics up to show the cooling setup later today (I'm getting ready to go flying at the moment) :D
