Those are sweet. I actually just stopped to look at a used one at the end of my street today. Where do you work at? Looks like somewhere over by the bear motel?

These pics were taken at our old shop on Spalding, we're out in Merlin now on Pleasant Valley. The company is called RM Custom Boats (formerly Rogue Marine). There's one for sale on the end of my road as well - Fish Hatchery. Where are you at?

;D ;D ;D ;D ;Sounds like we may be neighbors then lol. Ya that little silver one with the standup tower in it. Saw it on the way home from dropping the kid off at madrona. I run my jet all the time down at fish hatcher and turtle lane. We should meet up some time so you can check them out

Ha ha, that IS funny. I live on Fish Hatchery right at Turtle Lane! Big red house right across the street. I'm working 14 hours today and tomorrow, but maybe Friday, or early Saturday? The boat you saw belongs to Steven Keen Sr., his grandson, Steven, used to work for us and built that one for him. Haven't seen it run, but I know it's built well. Center console and taller sides than our usual minis, and if I remember right a 650 jet ski motor. Anyway, let's definitely try to get together soon, I'm really interested in getting some of those boats!

For motors you are looking in the 2040 size range about 3000kv is good for 3s use. No finned cans as the heatsink wont work with them. The #2 motor I listed works real well on 2s but runs a lil hot on 3s for reliable use. The esc is really a no brainier just get that one because it works great and is super cheap. I threw in a link for the futaba killer radio also. Servo requirements are pretty open. Pretty much anything will steer it. If you have a traxxas waterproof that would be idea but a lil spendy for the application. Don't forget a couple feet of fuel tubing also. Any more questions of anything just let me know Im more than happy to help.

Thanks, all is ordered. Went with the first motor as all my LiPo's are 3s, already have a Spektrum DX3S and servos, but added a digital metal gear servo to make the minimum $$ for free shipping ;) With any luck all will be here in time for next Saturday at Lake Selmac 8)

    $42.30 from HobbyPartz.com
    $44.99 From XenonProject.com
$87.29 total (now that's just cheap fun!)

    I think Highland's ESC is a 35amp, mine's a 25amp, and I think his motor is a 2900Kv, mine's a 3600Kv. But, essentially the same ;)

Hey Highland, where do you get your through-hull water fittings? Especially the 90-degree one that goes in the jet pump for water intake?

The ones that go through the hull come from off shore electric or OSE. The pickup for the pump is home made. Get a piece of brass tube about 1/8" diameter and 3/4 long or so. Cut one end at a 45 deg angle. Drill a hole smaller than the O.D. of the brass then heat it up and melt it in. drop a little ca on there and you are good to go. You want about 5/16 sticking up and just barely insert the full 45 deg end. Let it all cure up before putting the cooling tube on and it should last forever.
