Im having trouble picking a transponder as well, for I dont want to buy one that isn't compatible.  If sinn or bartle can post a link in which one u guys r using or if nexuss' link is the one, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Stormerhobbies has the mylaps rc4 transponder for $84. If that one will work with the system, that's about the lowest price I have seen. I run the mylaps hybrid and it works everywhere. $100 at amainhobbies

So reading Sincad's post "The AMBRC4 that we have is the hardware decoder..." and looking at GPS' chart it looks like everything except the AMB20 will work.

Right. I got that, but I just want to be sure if I decide to buy This MYLAPS/AMB v4 transponder I'll be good to go with this specific scoring software. I wasn't aware that you could use specific decoders with other software, so I guess it kinda threw me off.

I assumed if you ran AMB/MyLaps transponders you had to use their software, too.

The RC4 transponder is the best for the money.  Here's a link fellas. http://www.mylaps.com/en/products/rc4-transponder/78

If you could have picked them up a month ago when they were on sale for $54.95 when I made the statement that we were all using RC4 decoders, well you woulda saved something lol.

A month ago I was still skeptical that this was even going to happen. ::)

Is the reason the track is not on the MyLaps map because you are not using their software?  I only see one track in Oregon using RC4 in Clackamas.

No. No one registers with my laps. That software is junk comparatively.

You are correct, all AMB transpos other than the decade old 20 will work with our decoder.  If someone still has an old 20 I'd love to see it 8)

We ran the old 20s at K-Falls, like, 10 years ago. Drill a hole in the body and hang it from the "hood" with a body clip.

Good news, jason schurig the president of rattlesnake raceway in redding is coming up to race this wkd, and he will be bringing up their house transponders to have for ppl to rent. Not sure the price, but I kno it will be fair. You just need a small hole in the body and a bodyclip to hold it on.

Wow, what a blast it was racing @ that facility today.  Thanks to Adam, Caleb and everybody who  helped this track get to where it is.  So stoked to get some more track time/practice/testing in the near future.
