Hey, now I'm ONLY curious ya know ....
Quite awhile back someone made a funny comment on these forums that went something like
"Oregon, like California but without the GREAT weather"
Well NOT quite 'that' but close enough ;)

This got me thinking, what is weather like in Oregon, how would y'all, who live there describe your weather?

Here in T.O we like to say we have TWO seasons, Winter and Summer!
... Meaning it's always too DaRN HOT (sweaty humid) or always too DaRN COLD (Burrrrr!)
... and WE either GET too much RAIN or too much freakin SNOW!

Time to fess-up, so what's your weather like, how would y'all describe it?

[RANT] AND why is Google Spellchecker better than our forums stupid built in Spellchecker [IMG] [/RANT]

Some folks I know from Chicago told me they also only have two seasons: Winter and road repair.

    How does that joke go?

Q: How many guys does it take to fix a road?
A: As many as you have to supervise + one to work.

LOL, well we tried hiding everybody so Joe Public couldn't see us loafing around,
... but five guys swinging a shovel in a 4 foot hole in the road is just too darn dangerous and scary [IMG]

I'm sure you have colder temperatures up there w00d, but it looks like some of the sky we've seen intermittently around here.  In fact I have gotten in three days of flying including a decent dusk flight...woo hoo!

We are getting allot of wind also, and it's very gusty ...
... There would certainly NO flying today in this wind that much is true even if I was were brave enough to venture out into the cold ...

We had some wind, more higher up but not a show stopper for flying.  In fact I got some decent speed when the wind was in the tail of the hexacopter.  It was fun to see when I turned around from flying into the wind it would look like I stomped on the gas.  I was glad to get some flying in.

Hey w00d -  I've been digging the Red Shark News website a lot and thought you might also appreciate it:

    http://www.redsharknews.com/

It is more about video and cinema, but maybe you will enjoy some of their articles also.

Yeah it's JUST one of those days
... a day that look's great through a window :(  Although ... the 'gusts' have calmed down a little

Ya can see the WIND on the lake ... Original 'size' {whoops} actually the original 'Aspect-Ratio' but the camera picked up a little reflection off my window ...
... I also tried a gradient 'filter' on this image and I'm NOT sure I like the effect?
... But LOOK at the 'smoke stacks' in the distant refinery, the smoke is coming out horizontal
... Look's like snow on the U.S side of the lake

Nor is this the BEST (LOL, NOT my worst either) as it is 100% crop and shot into the SUN
... but we can see the 'wave' action a little better
... ;D WIND is coming off shore, hehe  ;D  'Boaters' will know what that means

Compared to a shot with NO wind ... Yes Sir, it would be ALLOT of WORK flying today ...
... If I wanted to FLY today I would DO better flying my PRÔTOS but I ain't got enough (only one) batteries for that beast ...

I know you are more focused on still photography, but I thought the tech curious in you would appreciate some of their stuff.

HaHa, I was just over at RedShark reading a few of their articles, here's one I was reading about 'Blender'
---> Blender: love it and/or hate it <--- Interesting read!

Later, going back for more reading ...

EDIT: Another that might interest the AP/FPV gentlemen,
    ---> 120fps HD for $200: Sony’s Action Cam fires a shot across GoPro’s bow
