Hey w00d - The GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition is probably (certainly) more capable for video than most high end DSLRs. In fact I've noticed that 90% of people who paid the extra for the Black Edition version aren't, and in most cases can't, use the Black Edition's Pro settings because their computers are not able to handle the output. Most Black Edition owners should have saved the extra $100 bucks and got the Silver Edition GoPro for solid HD or else buy a new computer that is able to work with the Black Editions highest settings that they paid for.
Maybe you missed them, I've posted some companies who make lens adapters that allow for high quality lenses to be mounted to the GoPro. Doing so results in a better than DSLR video at a fraction of the cost not to mention weight.
