Are you sure your sticks are calibrated correctly? What happens if you try to trim it out, rather than manually correct for it?

Yep, done the stick calibration the assistant software, there isn't any physical trim on the Phantom Transmitter.

I'd think if that was the issue though, the GPS wouldn't circle me back around. I'm getting some jello inducing vibration even with the gimbals so I need to get my props so I can have something officially balanced and just take that out of the mix of issues.

If slight stick movement or trim couldn't overcome the GPS then you couldn't fly it. Stick movement has to overcome everything else. I don't think it would make any difference, but if you ever want to try a different transmitter, I still have my original DJI transmitter. You could simulate having trim by carefully holding a little steady bias on the sticks.

Something else that I think would be really interesting would be to take off all the camera/gimbal stuff for a test. Hanging all that stuff toward the front has got to throw things way out of balance. That's probably one reason things get a little goofy when you give it full throttle. The light side is probably going to act like it has stronger motors.

I think everyone's instinct is to correct any GPS drift with the sticks. You need to let it go and see how far the drift is. If it keeps drifting away then you certainly have something wrong. My guess is that if you let it drift it will only go so far and try to return.

BTW, where you let go of the sticks is where the model should stay put. If you are constantly inputting with the sticks you are changing the hold position.

If I have a good GPS lock before taking off the drift will be less and, at least with my model, if I don't touch the sticks at all the model will never drift more than a few meters from where I let it hover. All the Naza equipped models I've seen this seems to be the norm.
I've also noticed that there are a lot of factors about getting the GPS lock before taking off. If you are near a building, like at Redwood, or near any tall trees the GPS will not work as well as a really wide open space, or until I fly and hover above the tall trees or buildings.

In my opinion when the Naza starts blinking green, no more yellow, which is supposed to indicate that you have a good GPS lock it is not always true. I have experienced many times that the Naza will indicate all green for a GPS lock and immediately after take off there will be drift. However if I fly high and let the model hover then come back down the GPS position hold will be much better.
