Tell me a bit more about the track surface. Is it a clay-type surface? How much "loam" is there? Would it be considered more hard-packed or more loose? Dry and dusty or wet and sticky? I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to want to order some new tires. Right now I'm equipped with GooseBumps and FlipOuts.
It's really tuff to say what the surface is going to do to be honest. It is hard packed and borders on loamy. It won't hold a groove that I can see but until we actually get a bunch of guys running on it tires are going to be hard to be depicted. We will keep it watered and since the dirt guy kind of screwed us it's more of a topsoil with peagravel more than anything, some clay and sand but only enough to hold it together. I'm going to try calibers, cityblocks and I-beams. The track is an OFFROAD track. It is not clay and not perfectly smooth.
I'm looking at bringing a couple 2wd sc trucks and should have my 1/8 ebuggy as well. I will bring the stadium truck along incase there is enough people for that class
Big thanks to Everyone that made this happen. What a great facility, it was what we all have been talking about, and dreaming about. Great racing!
Check this out!!! Was watching Americas funniest videos, and saw this contest. http://www.afv.com/assignment-america/ We could do it at PBR and possibly win $10, 000 for our hometown track..
