Is that box part of the winch, or is it a receiver?

well if you dont want to run 2 seperate batteries for just the winch and the reciever box you could cut the tamiya connector off and add a servo end on there and just plug it into the reciever box even if its not the 3rd channel

I see. I didn't know you needed a switch for the BEC. I thought it might be for the winch.

Sorry to hear that. Do you think they have a high ratio of bad winch units?

It has to be somewhat of an issue for them on the forum a number of people had complained bout it and when I emailed them they addressed issue and resolved it no question asked so they must know of the issue also even though they claim to test everything at their wharehouse on lighter note got conformation email this afternoon my new unit will be shipping out in 2 days all and all I would still recommend rc4wd they got great product and excellent customer service

Are they the only ones who make a Warn style RC truck winch? I've seen them on several websites but don't know if they are all from thew same manufacturer.

Ive heard that those 3 racing or bulldog winchs are junk stength wise. They look killer. One thing that i see alot is called servo winches. They are strong and are durable if built right.

Honestly they are what they are the people that talk bad bout the the rc4wd or 3racing are uaasally guys that try to dead lift there 12 pound truck into a tree and burn them up as for servo winch that would have been nice but I have old school airtronics with 2 position 3rd channel so I had to go with wireless setup
