We have a bunch of guys who fly every Sunday then all go to lunch together at Tacos Locos by Albertson's on Allen Creek. Some of these guys also drive cars and trucks. Maybe a little later or another day? Alternatively we could all meet at the Redwood school where the guys fly, have lunch and all head over from there. That way we could have a chance to meet each other and chat a bit about a plan. There are usually a bunch of guys at the lunch and they might be interested in assisting too.
I'm a dirt type of guy. I break things on the rd ??? I think I might be helping a friend to some framing saturday now.
Today was a nice day to build. Im down any day of the week so its up to all you employed folk I guess.
I'm gonna be out at the track spot this saturday from noon til sundown if anyone is interested in coming out drivin some rc and brainstorm on a layout come on out.
I heard there are a lot of issues with the usage of this property, particularly with the neighbor(s). Have they been addressed?
It's the mass usage of the main driveway the neighbors aren't comfortable with. The property owners are my inlaws and practically gave me the land to do whatever with. The neighbors live at the very end of the driveway so I don't find a need to address them about what I'm doing on someone else's property.
I'd like to see this work, but I also don't want to deal with a neighbor who is going to be a hassle.
I really don't think he's gonna be a hassle at all. All he can do is complain if we use the main driveway and cause damage but even then we use our bridge then he can't say shit cuz its entirely not his property. It's gonna get built either way,I just wanted to include as many local rc nuts as posssible but if you don't wanna join in its all good.
Im game to come check this place out and chat about track future..I will stop by before I hit b street.
Hey guys I'm a bit under the weather and might not make it out to the spot today, sorry. If I feel better I will go out tomorrow.
A few of us went to the property on Jones this afternoon to check it out after bashing at the B Street Jumps for a couple hours.
I think it would be a great spot to build a track. IMHO, it needs an entrance from the road and a gravel area to park at the entrance to the property. Not s lot of parking otherwise. I really think the only way is to put concrete pipe and gravel between the road and land. Over time, the neighbors may get annoyed with nitro but I say whatever, there's is nothing they can do. We may not be welcomed by them is al I'm saying....
Lol the driveway isn't the best place to park there. When I organize a meet there's a opening to the field the land owners want us to use. No one said shit when me and adam were rallying the losi and baja and that's way louder than a nitro. And your talking about dumping 4-6k to make that driveway plus the cost of materials and machinery and labor and thats if they say yeah we can do it. Me and my father inlaw sat with the guy at the small business development center over on H street for 3 hrs going thru ALL of what it would take to make the track official for public use and the above price was just to submit for the permits to build that covert, keep in mind that's just to submit it for review not for a indefinite yes we could fork up that cash for a no,have a nice day thanks for the money. That's why I'm more focused on the track and not the driveway,we can make a bridge we can drop over the ditch for when we go out til we can fundraise as a "CLUB" to make it proper then it can go public legally and fully permitted. The one thing he said we would have to so for noise is to get a petition from the neighbors saying its ok to cause all the noise we want between say 8-5 or something and thats just no nitros or gassers afer 5 but electric can go into nights if we throw up a few HID lights aimed right or whatever. Anywho we will be there tomorrow if anyone wants to chat more and or rally something out there. I got permission for anyone who wants to bring they're dirtbike or quad to tear up the grass and get a layout brodied up?
