All nqd boats have junk for electronics the jet boat can be had for under 50 and a cheap brushless motor/esc can be had on eBay for under 50 run it on 2s and grab the radio out of your revo it will work with a 540 motor but they really like a 380 that would get you started you will want to do some mods to the jet pump but that's easy and for a retrieve boat buy a cheap Walmart boat

There are good spots to play that's for sure these little jet boats are a blast in our mountain streams and there's plenty of hills trails and rocks for the ground based rc's if ya got a large fast boat there's no shortage of lakes I'm not from here but after many years I feel this is where I belong Idaho is great lots of free country and not to many people we still have places where you can camp out for a week and not see another person

GPS yes I have a little experience with helicopters I have a blade msr it was pretty fun no collective pitch but its got a main rotor and a tail rotor but you guessed it the esc went out lol then before that one I had a blade cp and a blade cx the cp I belibe was the bigger one it was collective pitch but again just got it plugged it in and the esc fried but I got pretty good at the cx and the mini I sold the cx long time ago.

l8rg8r That is awesome it is getting harder and harder to find good camping spots out here

You should look into a quadcopter. With a decent flight controller, like the DJI Naza, they are a lot easier to fly than a collective pitch helicopter.

OK. You can't beat a collective pitch helicopter for 3D style flying.
