Well almost 'perfect' because I needed to round off one corner as the recess it fit into was also rounded in one corner.
... Although I rounded off ALL the corners so I don't have to worry about which direction it fit into it's little recess.
... It's also teh reason why the original and it's edges we're ALL rounded {LOL} Hindsight is a such a wonderful thing, eh

    and

With the corner adjustment done the part is a relatively tight fit overall ...
... only because I measured the part a tiny bit too wide, this is the sides with the angle cuts.
... About ½mm less would have been better or spot-on as they say.
... As a result the clamping mechanism is a bit too tight but not so tight it won't work, it does work

Yup, even though I had the minor adjustment I'm happy, VERY happy with the effort [IMG] it's a DONE deal [IMG]

So wOOd... How does the angle look not that it's installed?  I just can't imagine that angle is really right.  I made it like you said, but what designer would pick a number like that!  I'm thinking it should have been three degrees more.  Maybe not, but that seems more logical.  When I measure something and see goofy angles or lengths, I measure again to be sure.  :)

The angles are spot-on, given I calculated the angle I was surprised after side-by-side comparison just how accurate they we're
... Yup it's the width measurement I gave you Tiger that is wrong ;)

Photo showing just how far my measurement was off ... I said ½mm but when actually measuring it's out about 1mm
