dude just do what chase and I did we got ours off of nitrorcx.com you can get into a brushed drifter for like $100 bucks and since you dont really crash at high rates of speed you dont break alot of parts!! i had mine for like 2 summers and never broke anything!!

I still haven't broke anything on the driftstar. I just started dumping money into it to make look pretty. Still run brushed in it. Let me know when u get one and we'll go out drifting.

There isn't any comps around untill we start it. All u need is a basic 4wd on road chassis. Should be easy to find wnd cheap. Dont forget about ebay!

I agree with Richard about the body. But if u jump right into a 9t brushless It will take u forever to learn how to control it. You dont need alot when drifting on plastic tires. Check 8t out.

U cant find better deal. Complete rtr. And is the same chassis as the hpi sprint. U could get 2 of them for what u would spend on 1. I know the no one is crazy bout the name. But I love mine, I have 3 drifters and this is the only one still put together drifts like it did when I first got it. Most parts I found fit. Nothing broke but has been aluminumiezed. Lol. I get my bodies and wheels from ebay and I cut my own tires.
I would say get this to get started. But if u have the electronics already. Then I would find a decent priced roller like that hpi or a tc3 or 4
