I'm building the motor mounts for my 42" mono with a husky 30cc two stroke if I don't use rubber isolators and mount solid mounts to the stringers what will the outcome be
Result 1 - Vibration in the hull leading to better separation of the hull from the water - a good thing! Result 2 - Vibration in the hull leading to separation of the stringers from the hull - NOT a good thing! Result 3 - Depending on the frequency you're using for your radio system, vibration of metal parts next to radio gear can actually cause radio interference. Sounds hinkey I know, but I've seen it happen. Result 4 - Ummm, no idea. Give it a shot and let us know the outcome Rubber isolators are almost always a good idea (that's why they were developed in the first place). When in doubt, and if possible, use them.
Something along these lines perhaps? http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Male-Female-Rubber-Isolator-Mounts-1-4-20-5-8-x-5-8-/260723662811
