Sorry about the poor quality, took these pics with my phone (with an aluminum-dust-covered lens!)

A couple of those would look really nice in your garage Mike.  :)

Thanks for the photos, that's cool. I can't wait for the day when I have a machine with an ATC (and pallets). It makes it really hard to leave the machine running and go fly RC Helicopters when it expects you to be there for it's every whim.

Don't think I could afford my own. I have this "condition", its called RCplanecarheliboatitis. Its only known cure is to spend all your extra money on toys that when all added up, equals the same as two (or more) mortgage payments

Update #5 is uploaded, still waiting on servos and main blades before I can do much more.

    Another nice update.  Thanks!

You've got to let us all know when you are going to fly this thing the first time.

Your helicopter is coming along really nicely Pelagic Pilot.  It looks like you will be done pretty soon.  Do you have a target date for the maiden, or is it done when it's done?

Well, I think I can be done with it this weekend, that is if there are not too many interruptions. Problem is I was hit with a big interruption today, there was a bunch of beer and coconut  flavored rum that needed to be drank. So here I am getting that job dome instead of machining a servo mount bracket for the engine throttle on the heli.

But, I still hope to at least spool it up this weekend, if not maybe even lift off a little bit.

I'd sure like to see you fly it if you don't want to do the maiden privately.  Let me know.

Yeah I will announce here when it is ready, I will certainly do some run up testing and a little bit of sub trim adjustment here at the house, but I will need clear skies and lots of space before I try to lift off.

Cool.  Depending on the time and place I will certainly like to be there.

I was able to get most of the work done last night, still some more details to iron out, but I think I can do some testing today. Right now I need to run around town looking for some more items, then install them. But also it is cold out, looks sunny later. Maybe around 11:00 to noon or so I might head over to the Spalding concrete area.

We've been planning a get together at the school on Harbeck this week so there will be a bunch of guys from the forums, myself included, over there around noon running our cars.  I'd like to see you fly and would come over to Spaulding afterwards if you are still there.

So I got it running today, you guys didn't miss much, it is currently under powered and does not fly. But, lot's of guys mod their 25cc homelight engines for racing boats so it will be fixed soon enough! Will do a Walbro 167 carb, port the cylider intake and exhaust, and add a tuned pipe. It just needs about another 1/4 HP and it will be good to go. Here is todays video:

It looks like it gets in the air.  Were you dropping it because you were only using one hand?
