I try not to use electric tape on its own, under every layer of tape is heat shrink as well. A wire connection that has vibrated loose in flight is not a good thing.

Looking forward to seeing video from this one. Your gimbal is hanging pretty low. What landing gear are you going to use for that?

I made a simple 10mm carbon glass fiber landing gear set, but then my RX burnt out.... >.< so now I have to wait for the $9 replacement from HK's US warehouse. No flying until then unfortunately.

How did your receiver burn out? I hope not in flight.

10mm? That's very short or very thick.

on the ground, loose wire. 10mm was for the base of the wire harness, 12mm for the leads into the ESCs, I have huge ESCs.

Oh, I thought you meant 10mm was the height of the landing gear.

It is a bummer my RX burnt out, I have one on order but it won't be here in time for my paintball day on Sunday. Will post pics as soon as the RX comes in. One of those $9 "wish you had it on hand" items, lol.

You can never have too many spare parts. Sometimes I think I could build a couple more models just from spare parts, but then I'd just need more spares for them.

LOL! Good point! Played some paintball today, everyone wanted to know where the quad was. Unfortunately my RX should be here tomorrow, but there is another game coming up soon. Will post pics and vid as soon as I get the part in. Happy Monday!

It is annoying that my post man lives on my street at times. I notice that he takes his lunch break for a few hours around 1pm before delivering my mail at 6pm. At least he is a nice guy, can't say I wouldn't do the same if I was him! lol.

Have you been able to do any flying, or has the weather prevented it?
