I don't know what length you need, but my JR Vibe 500e has three different length links on the head, one of which is very short.  You might download the manual from the JR website and see the lengths and other specs for yourself.

You can see the shortest link in this photo:

Are the Vibe links half turn adjustable(can be snapped on the ball either direction)? The link rods on the 4 bladed head are 2x34mm. I did find one source after hours of searching, but no stock.  ::)
I didn't save the site and already I've forgotten where it was.  :-[

Speaking of having trouble finding something, unbelievably the tail control rod for the Trex 500 does not seem to exist as a spare part except in the newer Pro version with the tail servo in the frame, which is to long.  ???
After hours of searching for one, I came across a couple of threads over on HF where fellas have been making their own. So I did the same. A slightly lighter rod and stiff enough not to need supports.
It's nothing more than a link rod cut in half then slightly bent and scored to fit the interior of the cf rod to have some texture for the epoxy to stick to. I chose to also wrap the two together using 30lb test braided fishing line then cover both ends with a little heat shrink tubing. Didn't turn out to bad.  8)

Even without the shrink it looks darn good ... [IMG] Reminds me of the way they install the eyelets on fishing rods ... DIY rules Baby

I found the store with the adjustable links again.

I can't seem to get through their checkout process because of an order I did some time ago and did not write a password down. It has a "Password forgotten? Click here." but when using it, it doesn't send a temporary one to log on with.

just seems fitting for a site with "infinity" in the name.
Although, I have found similar loops elsewhere.

The Beam E4 Advance uses a longer tail control rod than the Beam E4, I wonder if it would fit?

This one is 425mm to center of the ball at each end.
I think the one I built will work fine, I hope. The cf tube being larger in diameter than the original stock wire rod may be a little tight at the tail end of the fuse. My rudder servo should be here soon and then I can slide every thing in and see how the fit is.
If it doesn't work I'll swap the stock one off the Trex 500 and use it.  ;)

I'll have to measure my Beam E4 and Vibe 500e rods as I'm not sure of the length.

Nothing new to report on my build yet. Still waiting on parts.  :(

I do have something to share that I've been watching for some time. This guys work puts me to shame.  :-[
If you have the time to go through the 16 pages, I think you will be impressed.

Excellent Postage ... Not finished reading yet as I only stopped for a break and to post. Remember you had asked if I was going to do Rivets on my scale build, well
because of that guys excellent attention to detail I know how to do them now and they seem easy enough to make. So yes were going to be riveting to make teh UH1,
    Riveting {haha puny}

Okay, a little more to report.

Finally have all the bits to make the tail unit whole.

Then, wOOd's lighting project on his heli inspired me to do somewhat the same, though these are not programmable.

This kit has a pair of white strobes, two red beacons (slow flash), two landing lights and red and green navigation lights.

The vertical tail fin has a dummy light mount molded to it so I painstakingly, by hand, drilled a small hole through it, then using slightly larger bits and a small rat tail file opened a hole large enough for the led to fit.

I think a little heat shrink over the wires and a little tighter kink may make them a little less conspicuous.

This is the first of the lights for the fuse, a white strobe.
Looking at many photos of the real thing, I've found that light placement is not really constant other than the landing lights. Most have the red green nav lights in the landing skids, a few just below the doors on the fuse.

Landing lights on all the scale birds I found appear always to be a single light in the center front of the fuse. This fuse is not molded to fit one in that area and would be a pain to do. While giving it some thought, I remembered these left over from my truck.  ;D
One or two of those shouldn't look to bad mounted on the belly some where. I did see some with search lights.

One more, I caught the strobe flashing but some reflection off the glass from the fireplace also. ::)
I need to brake the video camera out, these are starting to look pretty cool. My spouse even approves.  ;D

Wow Bill, you are moving right along.  How are you going to hide the wires from the LED in the modified fin?  Can they be inside the fin itself?
