You're welcome Bill.  You're right, I thought I specifically saw it on A Main Hobbies, maybe they are out or no longer carry it.  Here it is from Testors who I guess is the parent company of Pactra:

Time for some RETRO photo. Although this is the Heli gallery I cheated a little by getting my only "rubber to the road" machine into the gallery ...
... Actually I had made these photo's for size comparison, someone wanted a Baja size comparison to their 450 heli ...

From LEFT --> RIGHT: the PRÔTOS 500, ALIGN TRex 450sa and of course teh HPI Racing Baja 5B ss

Another w/ the TRex and Baja

Okay wOOd, you've either cleaned that Baja very well or you've not had it out in the dirt much.

Yup I'm an excellent cleaner, pretty anal about too as every spot must go ... I do nice work eh !?!

OK now for the TRUTH: Nope ENGINE hasn't even been started, brand new actually. Been trying to find the time and $$$ to tidy this build up and take for a run. However I need a number of things for this to happen but the most important need is needing a helper which has proven challenging, pft ... and then there's my first luv of flying helicopters which supersedes everything ... NO time for the poor Baja, "sad" really

I was afraid you might say that.  :(  Sure is a pretty rig though and looks like it aught to haul butt.

Got a little more work done on the 500E project and a few photos to share.

The elevator/pitch servo sticking out of the frame may cause an issue.

A trial fit, not too bad but it might require cutting some more room for the motor wires to drop through the plywood.

That servo has about 1/8" of room at the top corner and the frame is on only one block. I don't know how many blocks will be required to have the tail boom fit through the fuse. Boom should be here tomorrow so we will soon see.  :)

Looks like you are moving right along Bill.  Makes me want to get back on my Vibe 500e building.

Tail boom and parts arrived late yesterday so it's mostly assembled. Far enough along to do some more trial fitting.

This is installed with the heli frame sitting flat on the plywood fuse framework, no blocking installed.

The boom is going to have to be raised to almost touching the inside bottom of the fuse here. I will take about 1/16" spacing at the rear of the heli frame to make it work I think. I have no idea what all the spacer blocks in the kit are for.  ???  It looks like a couple of flat washers are going to do the trick here.

Much better than I expected.  :)
Between the holidays being upon us and just finally getting most of the last needed parts ordered, I've about run out of any thing I can do.

It's a tough time of year to be building anyway.  I have put out a few things on the table to work on but holiday stuff keeps getting in the way.  ;)

I hear you there, only I do it myself for the preservation of my toys. With 6 gandchildren about to descend upon us, I had better keep things tidy.  ;)

Well, not so much the helicopter as the smaller bits.   ;D

I keep trying to give the RC bug to the grand kids, so several are getting these Tonka Ricochet Rampage Flip RC toys. I think it's going to be a madhouse around here.

That's one of those things that can run upside down (if you can say there is a upside).  I've often wondered why someone didn't make a big-boy version of that design since we've all turtled our cars and/or trucks at one time or another.  Imagine a E-Maxx or T-Maxx version of that!

wOOd, some time ago you were looking for some of the adjustable head links for one of your projects. Did you ever find any thing you were satisfied with?

The reason I ask, is because as I assembled that 4 bladed head, the control links to the blade grips did not come out as I would have liked. To get them to be of all equal length I would have to snap the link on the ball in reverse to gain a half turn. I can see this is going to be an issue with blade tracking unless I find some 2x34mm adjustable links or just live with having them on backwards.  :-\
I can find the 3mm size but so far, nothing I can use.

Bill, not the answerer you are looking for but there was allot of good candidates but unfortunately for smea finding the correct length (range) I specifically needed proved teh challenge and a challenge I failed ... Now without the fancy wording, No

Also finding ALL the URL's again would be a NEW challenge as I forgot about the idea when I couldn't find the linkage I wanted way back when ;)

I'm also guessing in you case as I believe you would need very short links but finding very short links are next to impossible to find if they even exist at all ?
