That will be a sweet helicopter Bill.  Congratulations!  I know what you're doing this winter!  Looking forward to seeing your build thread.

Thanks John.
It's not really much of a build, even the plywood frame is already installed and ready for the heli.
Wouldn't you know, I have three sets of blades, two Align and one Mavrikk and none alike. I'll have to either get another set of something I have or get a set of the flat bottom scale type.
I've still got a plane on the work bench I've been making some changes to, soon as it's finished I'll get started on this one, with photos.  ;D

I was also wondering about whats in the box...sure would like to see that head.  Good question w00d regarding the tail.  Did that helicopter have a multi-bladed tail?

And then the smaller box that was in the box with the fuse.
Those pretty red tailplane parts are heavy.  :eek:  About 77 gram.

WOW - Interesting HOW the Head-Block splits and comes apart to install the Feathering-Shaft(s) w/ teh Blade-Grip(s)

I wondered HOW that was accomplished until looking close in, then it become obvious ... It's actually quite simple when we look at it  [IMG]  COOL stuff

NOW I wonderz HOW the Blade Tracking is adjusted  [IMG] Inquiring MIND needs to knowz

        [shadow=Orange,left]w00d[/shadow]

EDIT: Hey Bill will ya do a better photo of the instructions, so we can read them ... Thanks in advance

Yup it's actually finished the upload but unfortunately for me I still have to wait until YouTube gets their act together ...
From YouTube ---> "We are currently in read-only mode. Your upload will continue but will not go live or be editable until read-only mode is over"
Meh, whatever that's supposed to mean  :eek: {LOL} means I gotta wait ...
... and That picture WILL stay at 75% for a VERY VERY long time ... Because well it's PIC  8)

I don't know for sure wOOd. Looks like it could be either way looking at the real thing. It appears the RC fliers are doing some of both too.

Studying some of the scale heli forums, I am finding I might have a motor issue to deal with first. Seems the stock 500 motor is barely up the the task of swinging more than two blades with out getting hot. May need something with a little less kv. We'll try it as is first though, possibly with a different pinion if it does run to warm.

Hey Bill if it was up to me and I know it's not but I'd go for the multi-blade Tail ;) Good you have a choice either way

w00t, my VID is ready ... So rather than post a new post I'll post it here. Nothing to write home about, all I'm doing is playing with my throttle curves. Set at 85% now and I'm flying pretty stable. Going to try lower again just to see how far I can push before she starts to get too unstable. Going for MAX flight time ... although the video is not that long

And yeah my video making skills haven't improved much {LOL}

You and Yoda have both bested me now. I've not flown either of my Trex's in many weeks, going on months.  :(

That's the beauty of the little GAUI's, when to mood strikes I can get in some hover practice ... Getting out is getting even less now Winter is rearing it's nastiness. No snow yet but darn cold nevertheless. Although cold is not the real problem, the real problem and even though I have a park right in front of my building is the darn wind, always seems to be too windy, meh  ???

Here are the assembly instructions for the head, the lower one for the fuse. Good thing there isn't much to the fuse cause there isn't much to these instructions either. The quality of that photo is pretty close to what they look like to.

With Christmas coming, some one should have a deal on a couple pair of these too.  ;D
