Here's what I was talking about, gets them off the shelves, can carry them by the handle and has rubber feet on the bottom to keep them from sliding around the back of the truck.

GP - That is totally cool.  What a great idea!  I'll have to make something like that.  They won't look as fantastic as yours do, but they should function.  Thanks for posting that.

Thanks Tiger, I have to admit, it's not totally my idea.
I searched a couple of the heli forums to see what others were doing to store their helis so this is kind of a combination of other ideas.  ;)

GP - Hey... I don't care if the whole idea was stolen.  It's your execution that impresses me.  Just awesome!  I hope to steal it from you.  :)

Me too. Don't know if I would get away with it in some other room of the house though.  ;)

I've ordered one of the Hansen hobbies nano receiver switchs to run the lights using a TX switch off a 4 cell NiMH battery. I have the battery in there for ballast any way so I figured it just as well be doing something.

Thanks for helping get the paint color sorted out for me John, as you can see, what you sugested is a very close match.[IMG]

Cool.  I'm glad the paint worked for you.  It's the red color I used on my OFNA Hyper 10Sc body.  Not quite Ferrari red, but close enough for rock and roll.

Are you going to be shooting some video soon?  If you have a chance I would also like to see it next to your other helicopters, especially your TRex 600 to get an idea of it's size.

When we get some sunshine again, I'll get all three helis outside all lined up for a photo shoot. I can tell you already, the 500 really looks small compared to the other two. I'll get some video also, but a little later.
Seems like every time the sun does come out I see something that needs done around the house.  ::)  I'll be caught up with that stuff soon though.

The Hansen hobbies electrical switch came late last week. This morning I made a little harness to connect it all together and she works pretty slick with the flip of a switch on the TX.

hehe, thanks Bill, I think the contrast makes it. Getting the blacks to look like "real" black I mean ;)

LOL, re: "If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you!" I change my one-liners often and I think your the first to notice

PS: Check your PM soon, I have a gift for ya which you may like or may not. Use it if you like or toss it ...

The photos look good w00d and Bill.  I like how the wood of the picnic table really pops and in the second photo how the blue paint on the fuselage looks like it is metallic.

    Agree.

Bill - I went to both our local DIY and home improvement places and could not find a mat like that.  They usually only have the type with holes in them.  Do you remember where you got yours?  If it was online do you have a link?
