    +1 Bill

This is why I say "altitude is your best friend" ... Gives more time to recover if things go wrong and keeps that horrid eye to blade intimidation from messin with your karma, hehe

I like to think of the carbon fiber blades on my helicopters as Machetes swinging around at 2600-2800 RPM.  What's to worry?

I met a guy at the swap meet who suffered a blade strike from his helicopter that resulted in some severed nerves in his upper right arm. Scares hell out of me!

Definitely need a good measure of respect for sure. I have also seen photos of the aftermath of those who were a little to carefree.
    Not pretty pictures.

    Thought I'd share a video I made today :)
I've posted this in a couple other threads. I know, I know, cross-posting! Hopefully no one gets upset and just enjoys the video ;)

It looks like you also removed the stand it was on.

Yup the "stand" and some smudge on the wall ...

I used the Clone Tool which is good for making the little imperfections disappear.
In the old days of film it's was the equivalent of "Air Brushing" out the imperfections
Good for removing the warts out off Ant Mays portrait to

"Replaces information from one part of a picture with information from another part"

FYI: If only for our Searchers'n Lurkers I thought this a very good Clone Tool Tutorial

    EDIT: Also made me a  Wallpaper - 1440 x 900

Allot of fixes in this photo, including the removal of the green cast caused by the original green back-drop

    This be my TRex 100

I wonder why all these fixed pitch helicopters cause the blade tips to curl up.  The same happens on my mSR.

I remember that.  So the Align blades are made that way?

I believe so, every set of blades I've ordered for (both my mSR and T100) to date all curl at the tips. And their overall shape has been consistent, I mean they are ALL exactly the same shape which is not what you would expect if there was any inconsistency w/ the manufacturing

PS: Made another for my mSR ... I'm getting better but still not perfect, hint: Look at the Boom
Believe it NOT this photo is actually Black & White, well the Helicopter itself is ;) That lesson is ---> HERE <---- YouTube ---> HERE <--- Text Vs

{LMAO} Well this should be proof that those are my Helicopters, one w/ a busted Fly-Bar and the other w/ a busted Canopy Mount  [IMG]
Yup for sure tough little Heli's but if they can be broke I'm the guy

I just broke the canopy mount at one of our indoor fly-and-drives.  The canopy mount pins on the Blade mSR are part of the main frame which means complete disassembly to replace.  I have a new frame, just haven't gotten around to doing the repair yet.

The little buggers are tough, but I have still broken the flybar, a set of skids where they plug in to the frame and a ball link off the main blade grips.    :(

Horizon and Align aught to be paying wOOd for posting all these cool photos.  ;)

Okay, after more than a month, back to building and photo sharing.  :)
The first photo is the control rod that will let me exit the fuse without binding. There are a couple of pieces of heat shrink that will hold it stationary after I apply a dab of shoe goo under each and then shrink them down.
The oak block weighs almost to the gram of what the scale fuse weighs and will be the test platform to see if this thing will really fly. It is a hefty 677 gram.
With that much weight that low it should be quite tame even without FBL e-stabilization. I hope.
The electrical gear will be attached to the block nearly the same as it will be done in the interior of the fuse.
