Not too many options, will probably just use the 3DR one, they have a new case for it now. I built my Frsky Tx thing up tonight, still need to solder a few wires on it, but pretty much done.

Got the frsky bound up, don't ask about the cup on the plane. There was an "accident".

Is that DHT module only temporary until you get a Taranis?

I don't think anyone will ever get a Taranis. Like the open pilot. But yeah, this is cool though. It has a beeper down on the ground module, if your signal gets weak it will beep at you.

Don't worry, by the time they catch up with demand there will be a better product on the market just like OpenPilot.

Is that a GPS unit in there?

It is, the rest of the APM is inside the plane. Working on some throw issues with the servos, then should be ready to fly.

Have you flown your APM? If so, how do you like it?

I just got it fixed I think, I chose the wrong mode for how I want to fly so it kinda sucked, but now I think it will be great, the self leveling feature worked perfectly. Now it "should" save itself when I let go of the sticks like my helicopter does, should be sunny this weekend.

What mode are you using? Do you have waypoint capability?

I am now set to stabilize mode, just a simple self leveling mode when stick is centered, can still do rolls and loops. It can do waypoints, but I am too chicken for that yet.

Have you downloaded the Droid Planner software on your phone or tablet? I thought I remembered you saying so but I may be mistaken. If you have, have you tried using Droid Planner to communicate with the APM?

Yes, on my tablet, I just ordered a OTG cable for the nexus, maybe USB will work with that, but I don't have the telemetry radios for the APM yet. So can't fly and have a connection. I do have the OSD which will give all the same info on the screen.

Would it be possible to load waypoints from the Droid planner via USB then unplug and fly the mission or can that only be done via the telemetry system?

It can be done now via a laptop and USB, not sure yet if the USB even works on the tablet.

Can you switch mid-flight from a full automatic waypoint mission to manual mode? If so, you should make a short range waypoint mission that stays inside a park or school as a test.

Yeah, will get there, just want it to fly nice in the other modes, which I think it will now.

That's a good plan. Flying manually is probably more fun anyway. I just don't know anybody with waypoint capability around here and I want to see it in person some day.
