What's up with that?  Did you change something on the helicopter or the transmitter?  Are your endpoints 100%?

I got in some flying yesterday since we had some nice weather and got some decent video.  It was great to go flying again!

Made no changes. Just took her down off the wall where she has been since the last time out and that's what it's doing.  :(

It's still pretty cold out but I let is set out for 20 minutes or so before I tried to fly so I shouldn't have been a temperature thing.

I don't think it has to do with the temperature.  It was sunny but still really cold when I flew yesterday and I didn't see any influence in my Naza-M.  I did notice that the cold just about froze my camera memory foam...it was downright "crunchy" when I landed.

    Howdy Bill ...

While waiting for the manufacture to get back with the definition of your error codes you could check to see if indeed it is the cold affecting the initialization of your Naza. Does it initialize when your inside where it's warm? If it does but not outside where it's cold then it's reasonable to assume it's the cold causing the issue. If it's found the cold then check your voltages as the cold will decrease the available voltage from your batteries, might be the voltage is too low for proper initialization. Also are you keeping the batteries warm while your acclimatizing the helicopter to the outside? Keeping the batteries warm until the moment of use is the general recommendation when flying the cold weather! Failing all THAT we wait for the manufacture with the error code definition ...

    Thanks for the ideas wOOd.
Yes, after having the issues outdoors I brought her back in and again let it set for half an hour to acclimate and hooked back up to the PC to see of the software would show any thing. It didn't. Then I plugged it in and let it initialize in the house and it comes up with the same code.
As far as the batteries, I thought of that possibility also and tried a warm battery in the house also to no avail.
I hear DJI is pretty good at getting back to folks so we'll just hold tight for a bit.  ;)

Hey Bill - You mentioned that your fuselage was fiberglass and I saw this today.

Cool!  The repair looks lengthy but easy enough with the proper materials and the results look pretty good.

Did you mention what the blink-codes were that you are getting?  Did I miss it somehow?

The last initialization lights should be 4 green and I'm only getting three.

The Naza-M documentation does not offer any diagnostics of blink-codes whatsoever.  It only describes a successful initialization blink sequence:

    red, green,yellow,red, green,yellow,red, green,yellow,green,green,green,green

The only other info are these:

    yellow,yellow,yellow,yellow,yellow,yellow,yellow,yellow,yellow,yellow,yellow,yellow = transmitter signal lost

    red,red,red,red,red,red,red,red,red,red,red,red,red,red,red,red,red,red,red,red = low voltage / other error

Not much help at all I'm afraid.  I am a little surprised that they do not offer more information about these codes or any potential codes since they certainly are pre-programmed into the firmware.

Bill - Did you try to fly after seeing only three blinks?  The reason I ask is I found this, however it may pertain to the Naza-M:

    I did not try it.
There is this message about the end of the quick start guide.
"DO NOT move any command sticks during the start-up procedure! Please contact us if the last four green
    blinks are abnormal."

    Thanks for the link though.

If it was a quad or hexacopter I would just go for it and see if it flies, but a helicopter with $40 to $80 worth of main blades and all the other goodies that break in a tip-over...nope.

That's kind of what I was thinking.  ;)

I did spin it up enough to lift off and it seemed OK but didn't want to chance it.

    Your ground crew is looking P r e t t y  S e r i o u s.

Judging from the battery I'd say that was your 600.  Did you fly today?

Not bad. I'm still fiddling with the values in the assistant because it doesn't hold in place near as well as the 500 does.
I wasn't going to mess with it until the update came out but I had to try any way since the other one is down until I get an answer on the initialization code.
