I went on a trip to the coast last weekend and took the quad.

Nice! I thought you were going to crash on one part but I guess you just flew down fast. Was it windy there? I heard it is always windy in Brookings. Beautiful scenery.

Yeah GC will do that, GPS the wind was insane, about half stick throw forward into the wind with some extra throttle just to stay in one spot. It handled it ok, but made flying not simple.

Was that your F450 frame? Were you flying your Naze32?

Yes, Naze32 quad, but with the new shorter props I put on a few weeks back.

Are you running 3S or 4S?

When you said you went to smaller propellers I thought you went up in voltage to 4S. Was there another reason you went with smaller props?

The interwebs said the quads seem to fly better with 9" props, so I tried them, and they were right. Smoother flight, more locked in hover, but yeah, 4s would be nice because you don't have the power, and it requires more throttle to hover than before. But super smooth video with no jello at all.

I noticed a vibration reduction improvement when I changed propeller brands. I've read that some of those new "low profile" looking props are very smooth.
