Yup, I've seen many 3D Pilots go from standing start right into 3D, LOL Guess ALIGN also discovered this teh hard way ...

LOL Whereas 'Scale Flyers' might never have discovered the joy [IMG]

Was looking at stuff at A Main Hobbies and stumbled across this:

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_reviews.php/products_id/234345

"I bought this "so called" auto pilot system, thinking it would make flying more fun and EASIER. After four solid days of programing and reprograming, adjusting everything on my T-Rex 700E, it can't even leave the ground without spinning out of control or trying to flip over!! This system ISN'T PERFECTED!! You would think that for over $800, it would be "plug and play". I followed the set-up instructions and the online videos SEVERAL times and I have everything set perfect. I'm going to remove it and see if I can sell it to get back some of my hard earned CASH. SAVE YOUR MONEY. This thing is C**P!"

HA, didn't I say it

And for what it's worth if I was to put out anything like a recommendation, I would say "Best SIT-on-the-Fence w/ a Wait & See stance" I would wait to see what the first of the Reviewers (and possibly some of teh early users) have to say before I would send any cash their way ...
... even for ½ the money, for allot of people $800 is still allot of doe !?!

FYI: Yup it's typical for ANY of the electronics ALIGN's provided in the past, ½ the price thus ½ the quality
Disclaimer: I only like ALIGN for their Airframes and I've never been a "Fanboy" of their 'Electronic' packages, too many "stories"

But as they say "one don't make a consensus" hehe, better to wait some more!

Align APS Flight stabilization system for use on Radio Control Helicopters.
In this video a Align Trex 550E was used to show the APS system. This video
also details the simple 3 steps needed to have your radio ready for use
with the APS.

Align APS being used on a Trex 550E. We are calibrating the GPS sensor
as well as going through the process of a vibration test for the APS. Once
you have done these two steps your set to fly. But I do have one more
video that will show you how to test the Fight Command Controls on the
bench prior to flight. This enables you to be sure that you have the commands
memorized and ready for use
