If you run in full screen, every thing runs smoother but with less graphic detail. Split screen while on the ground with the quad is still there...
TX is charged up again and having had the chance to play a little more, it seems the quad is the only model so far that starts with the screen...

wOOd, that quad is flying much quicker and banking a lot steeper than the one on my sim. I have not messed with the model editor though. Have you?
