The poor flight times for the first few flights were mostly caused by my not changing the default setting in the assistant. It was shutting down much too soon. The other factor is age, three of these batteries were for my old 450 heli also and are something over 7 years old now. They just don't hold the mAh they used to.
I'm only putting 11 to 1200 back in some newer ones, so I can still get another minute or two I think.

How much time you getting out of the 3300's?

My new batteries nor the landing gear have shipped yet, it'll be next week before I see either now.

Post a photo or two of the gear when you get it set up, I'd like to see how it turned out.

Now you have her flying ...
As much as I do like the build photos I really like to see them flying ...
Nice addition to your fleet Bill although they are making me 'want' all the more.

Think of how much indoor hovering you could do with one of these. ;)

I have new batteries as of monday and am slowly extending my flight time. A few more outings and I'll have a pretty good idea what to expect for run time.
The landing gear had to be reordered, some snafu with shipping. :(
I cut some extensions for landing gear out of a pond noodle so I could get the camera under for tests flights. I'm working on posting a couple of the first videos and will have them up soon.
Here is how the camera was mounted. I wanted to get a base to work from to see how well my version of the "Mount Jello Fix" works.

You're pretty brave with those clips holding the camera to the frame. You might want to hook up a "Seat belt" from the camera to the frame. That was awfully handy for me once.

Sorry no photos. It's something that came with my Contour camera. It is just quick disconnect clip with a loop of nylon string on each half of the clip. You attach one half of the clip's string with the loop to the frame and the other half to the camera. Then if your main attachment comes loose your camera doesn't fall off in the boonies.

I'll see if I can work something like that into the jello mount. ;)

The weather was heavy overcast today so my little videos aren't very bright.
There is quite a difference in the videos with different props on.

Yes, just a couple of short clips. I'll post them in just a few more minutes.

Yep, I didn't think any one would notice. :D

Okay, here's the first clip. Camera mounted directly to the bottom of the quad, just a piece of foam sanwiched in between. (First and second photo on post #67) Gem fan props and almost as bad as the helis vibes and jello.

Second video is shot the same as the first except I put the stock NAZA props on, much less jello.

Did you recognize what the clips were made from?

Can't think of it right now, looks like something I get a NAPA for wires though. Have you used the cable anti Jello yet? Was impressed with the test videos online.

Right, nylon wire mounts with one side clipped off.
The homemade jello cage is next to try. Hopefull I can get out tomorrow and try it.

It looks like the 3300 batteries are going to run about 12 and a half minutes and still have %20 left.

The second video was definitely better. DJI says their new propellers for the Phantom eliminate jello.

The white clips look like wire attachment clamps.

The gemfan props I had on were balanced but not at the hub. All four of them would flip over on the balancer. After a little research I found this is common. You've got to put gobs of hot glue on the light side of the hub to make them right.
Only one of the NAZA props were out of balance at the hub and I was able to make it right with a little tape.
That second video was much better, we'll see if my jello cage takes care of the rest of the vibes, tomorrow, I hope.
