I like the idea of alternate or none traditional materials when building our airframes, thus I liked the idea of this builder, building with w00d {LOL @ w00d} But {IMHO} THOSE POOL NOODLES LOOK STUPID, it spoils the entire 'LOOK' If I we're to build this that would be what I would change! PS: And I know your only joking [insert the appropriate Giggles here] buts maybe the Noodles are NOT for "floats" per say? Just a guess and being the "VOICE of the O·pin·ion·at·ed" who never knows when to shuts-up {LMAO} but maybe Noodles are there to soften the landings a little !?!
Maybe they are intended to soften the landings, but my experience is that these multirotors usually land very gently (even in trees ). Anyway look on the top of the quad in the picture...is that a dradle? Maybe he intended it to land upside down.
Meh all that pritty w00dworking all-shot-to-hell, I do know they look 'fugly' and I wouldn't have done it
