This buggy is rear motor only isn't it? I know this buggy is 2WD but I am kind of liking the Axial EXO buggy.
Yeah, they're definitely late bloomers lol. No matter, still looks like a fun rig. Yeah, I believe it is rear motor only. I like the Axial too but it sounds like there is a lot of hardware on the kit and I've been told that it doesn't have the nicest finish.
I have a Axial AX10 Scorpion and I am pretty happy with the kit. I also have a Axial XR10 kit but it is still brand new in the box, but it looks well made too. I am kind of a fan of Axial's stuff and was hoping they would make a serious short course truck one day. BTW, I think the Axial EXO has a aluminum chassis pan where a lot of the other buggies have plastic.
It's too bad the SCB concept fizzled out. I think it could be a cool class and could possibly bring some more racers out to the track. It would be a faster class than 2wd SCT and the racing would.....in theory, be cleaner. It could be an attractive class to those who race 2wd buggys and stadiums but don't go to the larger tracks.
It's basically like a 4wd SC. I like the idea, I was just told that the cage and battery setup were a little screwy lol, no pun intended.
I thought a lot of you guys went back to 2WD vehicles?
Heavens NO! lol The 2wd class is always growing as is all other classes of RC, problem is SCB is really kind of pointless. If we wanted to race open wheel we would run buggy or stadium truck, not another stadium truck with slightly smaller tires and an ugly body.
He basically summed it all up, axial stuff is good but they are not race rigs, this was though there first attempt at a race rig and I think they did alright, now if they would build something that fit into a particular class they may have something.
I have an axial exo Terra buggy Yah there is some things I'd change on it for sure. but I'm actualy realty pleased with the way it drives its super smooth and predictible. It needs new suspension and motor mount out of the box but once you do that its a blast to drive but not the easyest to work on. But I have not had issues with it breaking. And it looks killer ima.
The motor mount bends and allows the motor to move and strip out the spur gear.and the suspension is plastic and leaks I put the pro line shocks on for the traxxas slash 4x4 and its perfect.
