    That is easily the coolest thing I've seen in quite awhile. That is, until I went to HorizonHobby.com and saw the price :eek: Holy crap!!! I could buy a lot of new planes for that kind of money :-\ Still, it will bind right up to my Spektrum DX3S, and with built-in telemetry as well - hmmm...

    When looking at the HPI Baja and SC truck I didn't think about if they were 4WD or not.  I think I kind of assumed they were.  Turns out they are 2WD which makes this Losi look a lot better.  It sure looks good, but next year (or sooner) they'll come out with a electric version...now that's gonna really scare my wallet.

    If that were available when I bought my (LOL - Need I say it !?!) I would have bought that for sure, I like it's 4WD. Bout time HPI's 1/5 scale monsters had some competition! I'd guess though it's too new for any aftermarket BLING, where's teh "CNC". Then again I priced aluminum RIM's for HPI Brute and the ones I liked they wanted near $500 /usd and that don't include any rubber. Hey too bad Yada it's "Gasser" what's a Yoda to do  ;D {hehe} ... Wonder how long before some bright builders builds themselves an electric  (DIY) conversion !?! Howz the saying go "If it looks FAST it WILL be FAST" or something like that, certainly looks the part. Great video and no doubt a great looking racer, pretty darn good under the hood to. I'm impressed, Thanks for the post GP ... [glow=red,2,300]w00d[/glow]

    That thing is sweet.  I'd rather see a factory designed electric than a aftermarket modification though.  All the conversions I've seen just don't seem to layout all the components as well as a ground up design.  Usually you end up with a bunch of holes in the chassis pan that are no longer used and they are more ways for dirt and debris to get into the chassis.  The weight distribution for the components is usually a lot different for a electric than a gas/nitro truck and none of the conversions really address this well.

    So what's next after 1/5 scale?  Where do you think this is all going?  Do you think we'll all have 1/1 scale DARPA Grand Challenge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DARPA_Grand_Challenge) vehicles soon?

    Just teasing because I know your strictly electric ... Guessing the next magic number would be 1:2 scale oh wait don't they call those things "Go-Carts" ... Meh DARPA, corporate BS for the media masses, more innovation going at the Rc level than what those buffoons are doing {LMAO} Can ya tell, does it show, I quit smoking (again) 2 days ago ... {LOL}

    Thanks but to be honest it's not the first time I've quit. Could say I'm an expert at quitting ... Only been smoking this time around about a year. Previously I had been quit for just over 5 years and I totally agree the high cost of these damned cancer sticks can be and in my case is a great motivator for quitting ...

    Congratulations on quitting smoking w00d.  You reminded me of a friend who told me once "Quitting smoking is easy, I've done it dozens of times."

    I have to agree with you on the DARPA thing.  There may be more TRUE innovation happening in RC than what the mega-budget corporations are doing.  I am reminded me of this when I see folks like Flightbox and Pelagic Pilot with their FPV rigs and Tiger with his quad.  These guys are doing some high tech stuff with personal budgets.  Think what the RC community could do with a few billion dollars.
