That is pretty amazing especially considering the age of the project. The 60's were far before Americans wanted to have everything micro and mini. Quite impressive and what a bummer it never came to use. I would like to see the way they controled it. I remember my dads radios from when I was a kid and they were huge heavy monstrositys. I still have some of the first rutabaga radios ever produced in their boxes. Some ran off huge dry cell battery's and were multi piece units. Funny thing is all my years growing up around airplanes and old electronics I don't ever remember them having any glitching or loss of control. Unlike today's radios
I think they controlled it with a laser. It was supposed to deliver a listening device (bug) and I believe the laser was also the method of listening to the delivered device.
Laser stuff is pretty cool, just last month they powered a plane by pointing a laser at it and running the motor in it.
