You flew to an average distance of 615' LOS, which is exactly the same as me. Must be the physical comfort limit for the human eye with self leveling RC.
I know Allen Dale from the air better than most people know it from the ground I saw where you were standing and used Google Earth to measure out to land marks that you flew over. The tail boom on the heli is the only way i can see which end of the aircraft I am looking at. So I have no idea how you can see a multi rotor that far out?
I changed the arms around on my hexacopter and that has helped me with the orientation. I really want a FPV system so I don't have to do this LOS so much.
