Robert Grzesek in the video is the author of Meshcam, a really awesome STL 3d CAM package (I own it). Looks like a decent machine.

It looks like it might be a cool little machine. It looks like they are going for a $1500 resale price after the Kickstarter funding. Is there anything already available like this in that price range?

There are a lot of machines like that. But this has some neat features like auto tool length measurement and a brushless spindle. The software package looks pretty powerful for a beginner maxhine.

It seemed pretty cool to me. They need to get the price down to $300-$500.
