Very cool technology breakthrough! But, being an avid model railroader most my life, this really comes off - to me - as just a toy. I would like to see them make it more realistic. Model railroad scenes, layouts, and dioramas are so fun to plan, make, and see. This looks like a Lego set. Don't get me wrong. You've gotta hand it to the Japanese engineers that saw this through to market. It's toys like these that will help shape, and develop real-world applications. Kudos on a great find!
Yes, it really is a toy. I'm sure they will make a more realistic version soon, if someone hasn't already. Maglev is too cool not to be desirable by the train hobbyist guys.
