Somehow I missed this final episode of the Team Black Sheep West Coast Tour. This is all in San Francisco and they really out did themselves. The shots underneath the Golden Gate Bridge are amazing! And they have some Lombard Street in there too. I think they were powered by EzUHF on this trip.

So since I know absolutely nothing about FPV flying, would this be capable on a ground rc?  and if so what would be the cost involved and range of the system?  Thinking about doing something like the video but on my 1/5th scale.

Oh yeah, there are lots of ground FPV vehicles. Somewhere I saw a video of 6-8 race cars on a track and everyone was racing FPV style like Nascar or something with the objective to race video game style from the inside the car view only.

Range with air FPV can be as far as 10+ miles, but on the ground it depends on what gets in your way. Here is my favorite antenna test video that shows how well a Cloverleaf antenna system work in a non LOS situation.

For ground on a big car I would use 900 Mhz with big cloverleaf. Camera, VTx, Vrx + home made antennas, around $200.00 for good stuff, or about $75.00 in all for HobbyKing crap.

HaHa Driving is like flying but only at one altitude {LOL} well there's those BIG jumps y'all like so much [IMG]

J/K aside PP as you covered w/ specific equipment but there is nothing inherently different with the video equipment they use for aircraft, air or ground it's all the same stuff. Granted you don't need an Aircraft's Onscreen Display or HUD but the video camera's, transmitters and receivers are the same. You may also find some telemetry applications that are suited for Rc cars/trucks so you also might want to look into that. They can be used w/ the on-screen display or HUD system  ;)  and If I remember right there are a few car/truck guys around here that do FPV Video on their machines so you might also look to them

I'll see what I can dig up, I like the idea of sitting in my air conditioned house and terrorizing the neighborhood with my 1/5th MCD for an hour!
