I've been waiting for this for a while. This is the frame that I will use for FPV.

Are you going to take apart your 450 or make a whole new quad?

The TBS Discovery will be a whole new quad.  I have arms and other kit parts already.  I may stick with DJI motors and ESCs because I think they are the best bang for the buck.  But there are a few other motors that I like, like some of those on the Multirotor.co website.

OK I'll play the part of teh DEVIL, what's unique about this frame part?
... or if to put it another, why use this ...

Looks like I see some electronic components embedded into it, what that about?

K, lets have the SALES pitch ... LOL

w00d - This frame is like the Hoverthings HT FPV frame in that the front arms are wider than typical "X" quadcopters which helps keep the arms, motors and propellers out of the view of the camera.

    Have a look:

You can also see there are two cameras.  One for the HD capture and one for the FPV flying.  The frame also has a lot of wiring integrated to keep it pretty clean.

Maybe one of you FPV guys can answer this question: On the photo below the quad has two antennas.  A Cloverleaf and a standard whip.  I thought the cloverleafs were generally used for the FPV video, and that's what it looks like it is attached to in the photo.  So what is the whip antenna connected to?  Is that a long range control receiver?

I think the clover is indeed for the video link.  The whip is on the control receiver.  You can see all the channels coming out of it to the controller.  Judging from the length, I'd say it's 450MHz (UHF).    (Click the pic)

I thought those were channel wires for a receiver, what threw me was that antenna.  I never saw a RC receiver with a BNC, SMA or whatever connector.
