The first SOLOSHOT robot cameraman, which launched in 2012, solved a problem that’s existed since cameras were invented - how can we both be in the moment and capture it at the same time? Look no further than the ubiquitous smartphone selfie or the rise of the action camera to quantify the basic human desire to document and share our lives. Consisting of a motorized base and a transmitter worn by the subject, SOLOSHOT captures the spectator’s view, from up to 2,000 ft away, as if the subject had their own dedicated professional cameraman thereby providing the perfect compliment to the action camera footage and taking the selfie to a whole new level!

After two years of precious customer feedback, intense development and technological advances since launching the first SOLOSHOT, we are stoked to announce SOLOSHOT2! Breakthroughs include the addition of true vertical tracking and camera control accessories for automatic zoom tracking, record on/off commands and file management (will be compatible with a growing list of camcorders, DSLRs and smartphones). Multiple accessory ports make SOLOSHOT2 a true hardware and software platform for both internal and crowd sourced development.

We are also excited to announce the ability to network multiple SOLOSHOT2 transmitters and bases together allowing consumers to create their own robotic production crews. This networking feature allows friends, teammates and businesses to mix and match bases and transmitters in order to track a single subject from multiple bases, multiple subjects from a single base or multiple subjects from multiple bases. The networking feature is great for capturing the action around a track, field or event.
