Of course this comes out just when I buy a brand new SC10FT kits plus many modification parts. *sigh*

Really the only parts I don't have to make my new truck a sc10.2  are the new rear hubs with the larger bearings. I'm planning on making this truck a designated "race day only" rig. My truck from last year gets thrashed on our back yard tracks, it will be better kept as a backyard track truck.

I felt the same way when they announced the TLR 22T. I had just bought a XXX-T CR.

Good idea. That's the way I've always treated my racing rigs. Race-day-only. Rebuild shocks often, recheck setup before each race day. Looking forward to some good competition this coming season.  8)

    big bore shocks: check
    al hex adapters : check
al servo saver eliminater : check
    vts slipper : check

Now, i need the front shock tower and upswept front a-arms to get all the performance gains the .2 can offer.
Recently we have raced in chico (outback shootout), and in cottage grove.  Everybody that is running the b4.2 or t4.2 is giving great feedback.  I haven't built the big bores yet for my sc10, but can't wait to install them, and when i can get the new arms, towers i'll feel faster.  Noy to say any of these upgrades will prevent me from getting owned by a certain klamath kyosho, or even the sc10's over there that i've been beat by before.

I do hear your frustration.  It seems as soon as i get something new, the better, cooler , more logical version gets released.  My sc10 is the original kit released by associated, i've probably replaced/upgraded every part by now.  Then this kit comes out.  :-\

That high end Kyosho is an awesome rig. Associated basically copied the gullwing arms from them, or whoever did it first on the 10th scale stuff. The shocks are the killer part for the Kyosho though.

I am putting together a new set of big bores with Avid springs for this outdated truck I am building, plus I am taking the new V2's and modifying them with avid big bore springs and some GHEA parts. I will put which ever works best on the SC and send the other pair to the X60 Stadium truck. I haven't started building yet, the SC10B arms and tower are still in the mail.

I have a new girlfriend so hopefully there will be more racing this summer for me. I'm living alone again so I get to do as I please. It will be a bit safer on the track as well, Heather was a bit aggressive

@ bret ,  where did you find the arms and towers in stock.  Every body has been out of stock for months, i should've picked em up on the bay but i snoozed on it.

@ steve,  hopefully give you more of a challenge, as i may have gearing figured out a bit better than years past.  should be a interesting first few races at least.  :D

wow thanks, order placed.  I've bought from them before.  the pricing they use is re-dick, huge discounts , then giant shipping charges (all evens up in the end) .

So Activepowersports emailed me today to let me know that they are back ordered.  They apparently don't have an e-commerce system that knows what they have and don't have.

On a good note, Ryan Cavalieri won the Mod SC 2wd at the Cactus Classic and he was using the old straight arms and old tower... hmmm

i noticed maifield was using the old straight arms @ cc, was looking for pics of cav's ride. (good find)
and yes i have the same lame email from ap.  :-\  oh well I don't expect to race again for at least another month (cottage grove).  i'll just do some grinding on towers.  should be a usefull upgrade, as i'm going from well used non ft v2 shocks to the big bores.

The larger rear bearing carrier mod has been around since the days of the T4.  Most of us were using the GT2 rear carriers with 1 deg toe to try and settle the rear down a bit and simply did the same thing to our SC10's many years ago.  Looks like asssssssociated finally got the hint and did it themselves.  Just my .02 cents.

I just got my big bores put together, plus I took the new V2's and built them with GHEA pistons, spring collars, avid big bore springs.

I really like the way the new big bores are built. I am hoping GHEA makes some pistons for them soon. At over 20$ a set I'm to scared to buy different 12mm pistons from them hoping they work

I did not know that the GT2 had the larger bearing. I will have to look into those. I have gone through many of the smaller bearing currently used. It gets annoying changing them out all the time.

Austin, I talked to a pro in chico.... he said to use duct tape to hold your shocks on. I think you should try it and let me kno how that works!!! Haha. Ps can't wait to start racing some more with you guys
