Do you remember the Apple Newton? It was a amazing PDA (personal digital assistant) of it's time. I almost got one but ended going with the Palm platform instead, mostly based on price. Both the Apple Newton and Palm PDAs had stylus input methods that used handwriting recognition. Palm called their stylus input language "Graffiti". I got about as fast at inputting text with the stylus on the Palm as I was writing on paper. I saw this video and found it interesting. Two people inputting the same text, one on a Apple iPhone 6 using it's built-in keyboard and the other on a circa 2000 Apple Newton via a stylus and the Newton's built-in handwriting recognition. Even with all the processor and electronics advancements the new iPhone 6 just barely comes out ahead.
