This is definitely a cool-looking kit but I'm still waiting on TLR to release a 1/10-scale 4WD buggy.

I must admit, I like this 1/8 scale electric buggy, but you're right a 1/10 scale would be sweet.

1/8-scale stuff is just too expensive in my opinion. I can't even imagine dropping almost $700 on just a kit chassis with no electronics or tires. I paid less for my first (real) car.

Ever thought of a scte conversion to a buggy? The scte is basicaly a shrunken down 1/10 version of an 8. A body change and some side skirt trimmimg and your pretty much there. The scte is built on a 4wd buggy style chassis. Ive seen some sweet conversions around the web. Still expensive but not unrealistic like 1/8 scale can be

I don't have an SCT-E, so... nope! I can see the resemblance between them, though.

You'd think Losi would have done this by now.  Make a 1/10 8 I mean.

    They made a 1/14-scale 8IGHT. Close enough.

I haven't seen that 1/14 scale your talking about in person, or at least i don't recall, but my guess is that the parts are under scaled accordingly.  There is just something cool about the big beefy 1/8 scale parts.  I've got a SC8e that's got a bunch of aftermarket parts and 98% built that's never seen a motor much less any dirt...but it sure is fun to look at.  Richard used to bring his SC8e out to Harbeck and you can see they just handle better than the 1/10 scalers, more realistic somehow.  But that's just my opinion and taste.
