Although it is intended to be for Skiers this device might also work great for FPV flying. The thing about the goggles is that you don't have any LOS vision and many of the pilots I've seen take them off for landing and pull them on after take off.

    Check them out here:

[acronym=In My Humble (Honest) Opinion, as in Speaking IMHO ... A disclaimer of sorts. AKA: or just an effort to SNEAK in my O·pin·ion·at·ed point of view without anyone noticing!]IMHO[/acronym]:
... I would prefer the idea of the HUD over the typical Video Goggles or whatever they are called?

Bah, it's NOT the same thing anyway because I think Video Goggles (or whatever they are called?) are more for long range FPV flying! Awhile back, almost two year back on teh HeliFREAKS we were in general discussing 'wishware' and I thought about having a HUD Display for helicopter pilots. Thought it would be a great idea BUT my IDEA was dismissed in the typical forum fashion. I don't think using the goggles has a mount for the HUD would be good as you would loose any peripheral vision, so maybe I'd go for the HUD alone jus without the googles or at least those goggles!?!

Yes I still stink a HUD system (however setup) would be a graet iedea!
