Well I got bored this last weekend and decided to throw together a truck for the girlfriend to race next year.  The rig is an SC10 2wd Factory Team edition.  This was the rig that got me first in 2wd SC year before last, upgrades are a Fuze brush less system 3700kv, aluminum C's, Aluminum knuckles, MIP CVD's, MIP ball Diff, aluminum hing pin braces, T4 rear pin holders, 1 DEG toe hubs. machined motor plate, titanium stealth trans gears, Boca bearings throughout, and bowtie SC rear tires.  The truck is setup basically how I had it when I raced it other than the BL system change.  A quickly painted Pro-line chevy body rounds it out.

I was running a tuned Velineon system in it when I was racing it, the fuze is more adjustable and can be toned down more to help the learning process.

Well before I say anything I will say that this is my opinion like always, but I would run from anything that says Traxxas on it for racing.  Traxxas makes great basher rigs, but come sunday they will fail to perform.  Are you looking for a 2wd or 4wd? There are many suggestions for both.  For  2wd SC I would stick with either an SC10 or a Losi SC, really depends on your driving style.  SC10 is very tight and finicky were as the Losi is loose and a little more forgiving.  In the 4WD range there are a couple of contenders at the moment.  First is the Losi Ten-SC, this is my personall favorite, very forgiving and easy chassis setup, handles well in the rough tracks.  Next the Jammin/Hoboa/Ofna/Hyper SC trucks, These are all basically the same truck with VERY MINOR tweaks since they are all owned by the same company Hobao.  Very middle of the road truck for handling and setup, this is what I am using next year to run.  Lastly would be the associated SC 4x4, this is an all new breed of truck that uses a belt drive that so far not many have like, but out of all the 4WD SC trucks it is by FAR the lightest offering and could prove to be a great truck if the drivetrain holds out.  Associated rigs are always a very tight handling rig and twitchy.  I hope that summarizes it a bit, if you have any other questions just ask.
