the race was awesome, lot of great competition. yreka guys made it down too. here's some pics 2wd buggies ran with the 2wd short course class (only 2 of em) 4wd sc 1/8 ebuggy what a race !!!!!
yeah they had a nitro class (it was small). However, it is highly recomended that you have a race platform at least a slash either 2wd or 4wd. as a monster truck w/o race tires will be like a sumo wrestler racing usain bolt in a track meet. not trying to knock what you may run as it is "run what you brung" in redding and in jacksonville. however, the fun level at the minimum w/ a race bred truck is pretty damn high. either way as long as your having fun, that its all that matters.
I have a t-maxx 3.3 (4908), a custom nitro rustler that does 80mph, and a 1/18th scale short cores truck. The T-maxx is new don't even have other tires for it yet. But the rustler has the rustler body, a 1/10th scale short cores body and so many different tires for different surfaces. The 1/18th scale short cores truck is brushed but fast for it being brushed and I think its the one that gets more run time because its the only one that I can take out to my front yard and run with no one bitching about how loud it is. I still run my nitro car/truck out there but not vary long mainly to tune it for the day then ill take them to a bashing spot. I haven't done that yet since I moved here though.
