I think anyone would agree that the DJI motors are fantastic, except for the fact that they can only use the DJI props, which are junk. I wanted to use these motors on my new tricopter so I modified them to accept standard 6mm hole props. Thought I'd post pictures of what they look like now. These are simply turned down to 6mm in a lathe. This gets them to standard prop size and removes the "D" flats that are only available on the DJI blades. I love these motors because of the overall quality and the fact that no prop adapter is required. The low profile also keeps the prop close to the bearings for reduced vibration. If you decide to do this, be sure to remove the labels from the motor so it centers perfectly in the lathe chuck. ...Tiger
Agree. You seriously do not want to use the stock DJI propellers. However, you don't have to use stock DJI propellers on the stock DJI motors. Stock Graupners and several others with 8mm round bore will work fine. I've been flying Graupner 10x5 for a long time and they are really great.
