Sorry GP but I have seen those before well something like it and your right they are "pricey" ... But this is not why I don't like them Up around these parts we know em as "Joby GorillaPod" and CAN come in many different configurations. Meh, maybe sold under a different License in any-case I don't WHY I don't like them, just can't say why. Sure only personal opinion buts that's that. I know there supposed to be the "latest greatest" since sliced bread and the photo retailers can't say enough about them but in my (opinionated) view can't do em. I've seen the "GorillaPod" of things like it often also, that's why I was surprised to see a similar device with wheels or suction cups cost so much. I'm pretty sure a person could get a GorillaPod and hook up some inline skate wheels to it for a lot less than what they want. I'm sure adding some suction cups would be even less expensive.
That would be super easy to make, he is only machining them because they are in very small batches. Could be injected and sold for a few dollars.
