Hey guys, we are starting to think about offroad racing over here.  We are having a rules meeting monday night, question is of those of you that came over last year, any complaints, or comments, or rules that should be put in place or should be re written.    Look forward to a great season, and hope to see you guys again this summer.....will keep you all updated

no complaints, your races were always fun for everybody.  There might be some interest locally in the 2wd buggy class.  Maybe toss the idea of buggy as it's own class around.  I know stadium racers arent always very enthused to run against buggies.  just throwin it out there.
anyhow, cant wait to race over there this season.  possible start dates ?
i'm racing 4wd sc this year.  should be interesting

Yep. XXX-NT AD2 here. Ran that bad boy with electrics for a whole season until I broke down and bought a new XXX-T CR.

As far as rule changes, etc. I have absolutely no complaints about the way things were done. I'm looking forward to another fun season.

Also, I think it's super-cool that the K-Falls guys are asking people from across the mountain, who aren't even members of their club, for their opinions. +1 to you guys for reaching out for the opinions of everybody, not just those in your circle.

So would be a class where we could run 1/10 nitro? Like sportsman class.

nice. So when is the first track prep day/open practice for the up coming outdoor season? and since we are talking about it, the first projected outdoor race. Been checking FB @ Klamath RC Roadrunners for updates to no avail.???  the weather seems compliant? the season is upon us ever so soon it would seem?? is the club still racing indoors? when can we expect the transition to the dirt?? ::) thanks for any info.. got the itch bad.. this weekend would have been prime for track prep.. just sayin.... ::) lets get that part done so we can at least begin talking about racing out doors..
Hope the outdoor season is going to be rockin' soon.  was soooo much fun last year......

DNS, we worked on the track sunday, had a great turnout(close to 20 people) 3 tractors.  alot of things got done.  for the most part the track is almost all new.  not many places didnt get touched in some form.  This saturday we will be staking all the pipe down, and raking the entire thing, install transponder bridge, etc.    Sunday will be an open practice day. As of right now the first race is the 20th.  this way any and all final adjustments and wahtever can be worked out the weekend before we race.  hope everyone can make it

Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not a K-Falls member) but I believe they picked up the I-Lap system. You can buy a transponder here for $38 or I think they'll rent them on site.

dns, yes we bought a scoring system at the beggining of onroad, has been pretty flawless onroad, we will see how it works offroad.  Just needs a clear spot in the body to look through ora 3/4 min hole.      you can buy them directly from ilap, or we have been selling them for 35.  we have sold more then 60 of them so far....  with them being fairly inexpensive make it nice to buy a couple and not ever take them out of your car.    and they just plug into a third channel or y harness.    we also rent them for 2 bucks a day if your not intersted in buying....

cool.. that i know was a needed item.. will make for a much nicer day for the former lap counters  ;D
Sounds like a fair deal on those so i think i will just wait to buy one on race day i guess. hope there will be enough.
So if i don't paint the windows on my short course, or stadium truck that will work for the lap counter? or does the  clear spot/ hole need to be directly above the lap counter?? thanks for the info.

The clear spot has to be directly above the transponder. Clear windshield works fine.

So these transponders need t "clear view" and can't just be chassis mounted like AMB units? Do they have to be window/body mounted?

Nexus, yes they need a clear view straight up.  can mount anywhere on the chassis as long as there is a clear spot above it.  i know onroad we were mounting them on top of the servo and using the front window.  doesnt need to be mounted to the body or anything.  this is the only downfall to this sytem.    had virtually no problem onroad.  a lil nail polish remover or a dremel took the paint right off.  also a guy had the window "tint" paint on fairly light and it worked just fine

How weird... I've never heard of a system that actually needs to "see" the loop sensor. Anyway, I'm looking forward to accurate lap counting and fun times ahead!
