Lytro lets you take pictures like never before. Unlike a conventional camera that captures a single plane of light, the Lytro camera captures the entire light field, which is all the light traveling in every direction in every point in space.

    Capture everything - instantly.
Capture living pictures with the press of a single button. By instantly capturing complete light field data, the Lytro gives you capabilities you've never had in a regular camera.

Pretty cool technology, but a good photographer can adjust his aperture/shutter settings and get the full depth of field in focus for the whole picture. Not sure I see a reason for wanting the ability to change focus/depth after the shot has been taken. Still, at least they're developing new technology/ideas in photography :)

Agree.  I was thinking more for aerial photography where it may be difficult to get "that shot" because you can adjuct it after the fact and the camera looks like it might be small and light enough for a reasonably priced helicopter or plane or quad to lift.

You sure are talking about DJI a lot  :D

For an industrial setup I dont think there is a better platform than these for a less than military budget.

I am considering one.  I see it as a separate platform though and not a replacement for FPV.
