Well I searched around online and found a ton of mods for the micro crawler, but not much for the trekker so the wheels in my head started turning.  I've already cut the spring on the shocks so there only enough to center the rig on an obstacle, defoamed the tires, added weight to the wheels, doped the tires to soften them up and removed the batt tray and lowered the battery in the chassis. With just those mods this thing rocks!  One thing I didn't like though was the fact that the four link setup on these micro's allows for some horrible crab walking since there really isn't any triangulation in the link setup so it crab walks like the stock y-link setup on a factory AX-10  So I went to work.

First you need to remove the rear upper shock ball studs and replaced them with the ones from the upper links, they are shorter and move the shock outward a bit, so you will in turn need to notch the frame to cope with binding.  Here you can see the stock ball studs and the clearancing for binding

Next you can see I replaced them with shorter ones since you will need the longer ones later, you can also see I inverted the upper ball studs to the inside which gives me my double triangulated setup

this as you can see in the last picture has given the truck a double triangulated suspension that no longer crabwalks as it's called.  I have yet to see anyone do this mod so I'm claiming to be the first! haha.  Hope it helps someone.
