Is there a track around to run our Nitro RC at I wish I knew there was an event out at the fairgrounds. My two boys and myself need a place to race.
I agree! We definitely need a track. We did hold an event at the fairgrounds, but it was for electric only. The fairgrounds staff was too concerned with noise and nitro getting into their soil. Their loss! There are a few of us on here currently looking for a permanent venue to put in a track for all scales of electrics and nitros/gas. If you have any ideas they would be most welcome! Thanks for joining the forum! What city are you in?
I have a spot,we need to get equipment over there to build a 1/8 track and 1/10 short course. AND! I have another spot we can build a 1/5 track on. Both places just outside of city limits, one spot is clay and maybe 2 minutes off exit 55 the other is a bit further away from the 5,its on ladeana off new hope rd. We just need to figure a time we can all meet and build. The clay spot is maybe an acre with room for parking lot and did I mention until its fully up and going its FREE! Once we start holding races and using up power on a regular basis we will have to charge a small fee, also once its up and active there will be food available. Karen of karens deli that use to be at whitehorse park Wants to open a consession stand for foods and drinks of all kinds. BTW we had this spot since September. Also 100% horse shit free too.
AWSOME!! (lol) Thanks! Caleb say he has some equipment, maybe when it warms up some we can get a group together and get it setup. I've got a 36" tow-behind tiller, a 40" box scraper and a 60" roller that can all be pulled behind my Husky garden tractor/mower. Pretty busy with family the next couple weeks of course, plus the rain that's supposed to be coming in, but let me know what I can help with and I'll be there
The property owner/inlaws own southernoregon property maintainence so a husky ride on mower is a plentiful lol. Seriously whenever we can get a build party together we can just get down and build like mad men. The clay/soil is pretty easy to scrape up so it would be very easy to scrape up our layout. Been lookin at supercross tracks for ideas for the 1/8 track, would like to have a somewhat high speed but technical track.
As of now material wise maybe some plywood for burms and table tops, maybe some random car tires for jumps. I have some steel from a cnc lathe shipping container I could make a driver stand out of. If you guys wanna come rip it up on your bikes/quads one day and get the ball rolling I'm down,I got a couple buddies with quads that would come over.
i would like to help make the track where ever you are goin to build it. i am 14 and need a place to race my rc cars and will help build a rc track any time. i would like the person that has the land or who ever is making the track to contact me and i will when i can. my number is 541-973-9220
If anyone is done doin the Christmas thing I'm out at the Jones creek spot. Already burned 900+ cc of petrol Come on out, call me @ 541-441-1004
Why not just rent some equipment? I'm down to rent/run equipment and haul it out there if someone puts a track design together. I'm also always good for some good old shovel/rake action.
Grants pass isn't that far away.especially to race. I've gone all the way down to k falls every other weekend just for a Saturday race, and up to Portland just to hit up prcr. Plus the track would be just off exit 55,you can almost see it from the freeway. And if you don't have a ride I'm sure someone in the meddy area would be glad to let you carpool with em.
K,so maybe we should rally up all the money anyone's willing to pitch in on the bobcat and then figure a day when we can get together and get it out to the spot for a few hrs then put that thing to work? Who's set up with the fairgrounds to rent it? Also will it come with a trailor or do we need a truck and trailor? If so I can get a 1ton chev and trailor.
